Rik is a multidisciplinary designer from the Netherlands. Dividing his attention between Design, Art, Sports and Travelling. His biggest interests within design are to create work with experiential, immersive, artistic and playfull characters. Work that borders between art, design and simple fun.

2018 - Creative Designer - Playground Centre in Wanganui, New Zealand
Creative Designer and 3D Visualizer for a Playground and Play Equipment Manufacturer.
Responsible for the translation of design briefs into a variety of viable concepts for the future.

2010/2017 - Sports Instructor and supervisor - Rik van der Laan Workshops / Bungy Jump Holland / Action Events
Providing workshops and lesson programs in Slacklining, Tricking, Freerunning and Circus activities
Supervision of Freefall jumping, Bungy Jumping and more extreme activities
